Monitor the quality of documentation of supportive service activities in the EHR.
• Collaborate extensively with the Supportive Services trainer to provide high quality leadership and training to the supportive services staff.
• Conduct regular reviews/audits of supportive services staff documentation. Run reports, analyze activities, audit documentation, plan quality improvement projects and retrain/reeducate as often as needed to improve performance.
• Report regularly on audit results and compliance measures to leadership; work with leadership to identify risks and liabilities.
• Manage adherence to supportive services policies and procedures; ensure compliance with best practice guidelines.
• Engage in regular communication and training of managers/directors to discuss audit findings, review reports, provide support, and identify areas of focus for supervision/ongoing learning.
• Participate as an EHR Superuser to assist with training efforts, advise on system changes and EHR upgrades, and test new tools, processes, and other initiatives.
• Cosign/review charting of direct services by supportive services staff in training phase and during periods of quality improvement.
• Ensure timely and accurate recording of all clinical/non-clinical services, communications, and tasks in the EHR and other systems as required while maintaining complete up-to-date charts using the system and any future upgrades as directed.
