We’re looking for a Staff/Principal Backend Engineer to help build and maintain the APIs and services powering Framer. You’ll work on scalable, high-performance systems that enable real-time coordination, seamless publishing, and much more.
What you’ll do

Build and maintain efficient, well-documented APIs and services.
•
Make key choices on technology, scalability, and performance.
•
Work with engineers and designers to ship impactful features.
•
Define and implement backend architecture and infrastructure strategies.
•
Ensure code quality through reviews, mentoring, and standards adherence.
•
Focus on building robust systems that scale.
What you’ll bring
•
9+ years of software engineering experience at a product company.
•
Strong expertise in Go.
•
Familiarity with TypeScript/JavaScript and Node.js.
•
Experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems.
•
Familiarity with microservices, container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud infrastructure (AWS).
•
Strong organizational and self-management skills.
•
A focus on quality, scalability, and performance.
