We’re hiring a founding automation engineer to build custom robotic systems for automating sheet metal production. It’ll be your job to build custom systems faster and cheaper than we can buy off the shelf.
You’ll be building from the ground-zero and have a huge impact on the direction of our automation.
One of our first projects is building automated sheet metal storage and retrieval systems. Off the shelf solutions cost >$300k and have lead times in many months. We need to build something similar for an order of magnitude less.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

Designing and building custom robotic systems.
•
Making intelligent trade-off decisions between cost, complexity, and performance.
•
Troubleshooting and maintaining automated systems
Requirements
Required skills:
•
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or evidence of equivalent experience
•
Experience with industrial automation and control systems
•
Track record of building hardware quickly
