About the role
The Product Engineer for Cytiva is responsible for developing and designing custom single use systems within Biotech SUT by working closely with QA, Sales, Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain and Manufacturing. The Product Engineer performs the necessary actions within Product Engineering’s responsibility to manage the current product portfolio through its lifecycle. And New Product Introduction (NPI) & Customer Specific Single Use Systems.
This position is part of the Engineering located in Beijing plant and will beon-site. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Responsibilities
1.
Liaise with sales to review, improve and release customer and manufacturing drawings for customer specific single use systems.
2.
Apply Design for Manufacturing & Assembly guidelines, and Preferred Component Strategy, when reviewing manufacturability of new single use systems and NPI.
3.
Liaise with the manufacturing team to improve First Time Right of production documentation (SAP, PDS, Drawing, Label) and reduce operator assembly error risks.
4.
Prepare detailed validation protocols for IQ, OQ, PQ and write the validation reports in close cooperation with quality engineering;
5.
Responsible for managing product changes at resident or other SUT sites to the current portfolio.
The essential requirements of the job include:
1.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering ；
2.
Above 5 years experience in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Integrated Product Development, Industrial Design & Manufacturing or equivalent.
3.
Experience with CAD software, preferably Autodesk Inventor/Solidworks. Experience with Product Data Management software, preferably Autodesk Vault/EPDM.
4.
Knowledge of process validation procedures and techniques, e.g. Process and product FMEA and process capability studies.
5.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
