• Demonstrate standard knowledge of preventative maintenance, replacement of parts/components, and more difficult repairs as they pertain to specialized trailer maintenance, air brake systems, and FHWA Inspections
• Troubleshoot and repair specialized trailer equipment; work independently and seek assistance as needed
• Participate in Original Equipment Manufacturing training for OE repairs • Understand and effectively follow all shop safety procedures
• Maintain professional communication with J.B. Hunt personnel and customers at all times
• Accurately perform standard level repairs to company and manufacturer’s specifications, complete work orders, and demonstrate understanding of company requirements for standard repair times (SRT) and warranty guidelines
• Perform standard preventive maintenance tasks to include, but not limited to, tire replacements/flat repairs, brake adjustments/services/replacements, electrical diagnostics, basic structural repairs on trailer chassis, sub-frames, etc.
• Understand and demonstrate the standard use of a cutting torch and welding equipment; perform minor repairs on chassis, frames, brackets, etc.
