Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
•
Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes and prescribed therapeutic diets.
•
Ensure proper portion control and appealing food presentation for residents.
•
Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards in the kitchen.
•
Set up workstations and prepare ingredients for daily meal services.
•
Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and work areas throughout the shift.
Requirements
Qualifications
•
Experience: Required experience cooking in a healthcare environment (e.g., skilled nursing, assisted living, or hospital).
•
Knowledge: Understanding of therapeutic diets, texture modifications, and food safety regulations.
•
Skills: Ability to read recipes, manage time efficiently, and work in a fast-paced environment.
•
Availability: Must be able to work the early morning shift (4:30 AM) and participate in the weekend rotation.
•
Physical: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
