Docusign’s Mobile Engineering team builds and operates complex solutions for global business challenges that cross cultures, legal jurisdictions, and impact millions of businesses every day. We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer (P5) to be at the forefront of driving technical design, feature implementation, and ongoing evolution for our native iOS applications and customer-facing iOS SDKs. Our iOS SDKs empower enterprise customers and third-party developers to seamlessly integrate Docusign’s Intelligent Agreement Management platform directly into their own mobile applications. In this role, you will act as a primary technical authority, balancing hands-on architecture and high-performance Swift development with cross-team leadership. You will work closely with Product, Design, QA, and backend platform teams, while occasionally engaging with enterprise partners to ensure our SDKs and native app experiences are secure, performant, and intuitive to integrate. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to Senior Director, Engineering. Responsibility Drive the end-to-end architectural vision, API design, and implementation for native iOS applications and developer-facing iOS SDKs Write clean, modular, and well-tested Swift code, creating robust public API interfaces and XCFrameworks for enterprise integration Set high standards for code quality, conducting thorough code reviews and establishing best practices across testing, modularity, and security Partner with Product, Design, QA, and backend engineering to ensure mobile features align with platform APIs and enterprise scalability requirements Collaborate with enterprise developer partners to understand integration requirements, collect feedback, and ensure smooth SDK adoption Mentor and coach engineers across the team, elevating technical capability and fostering a culture of continuous learning Proactively identify opportunities to optimize build pipelines, continuous integration, testing automation, and release speed Stay ahead of Apple platform developments, WWDC updates, and iOS trends, adopting new technologies where they deliver clear value
