ABOUT THE ROLE
FOX Corporation is looking for a highly skilled and experienced SDE (L2) / Senior Engineer (WebApps) for its Digital Product Engineering WebApps team. The candidate should have a strong working knowledge of modern web application development, object-oriented programming principles, and frontend engineering best practices.
Our WebApps team is responsible for developing and maintaining a suite of high-performance applications that serve millions of users worldwide. We leverage modern technologies and frameworks to build scalable, responsive, and highly interactive web applications that deliver exceptional user experiences. With a strong emphasis on engineering excellence, performance optimization, accessibility, and maintainable architecture, the team is committed to delivering products that meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and scalability.
As an SDE (L2) / Senior Engineer (WebApps), you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining modern web applications. You will contribute to technical initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and user-centric digital experiences.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
•
Design, develop, and maintain modern, scalable web applications using TypeScript, React.js, and Next.js.
•
Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, Backend Engineers, and QA teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
•
Develop reusable, modular, and maintainable frontend components following engineering best practices.
•
Ensure the performance, responsiveness, accessibility, and reliability of web applications.
•
Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, and backend systems.
•
Identify and resolve application bottlenecks, bugs, and production issues.
•
Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to frontend design decisions.
•
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
•
Write clean, maintainable, well-tested, and documented code.
•
Continuously evaluate and adopt modern web technologies and development practices.
•
Mentor junior engineers and actively contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.
•
Collaborate closely with DevOps, QA, and Platform Engineering teams to ensure high-quality product releases.
•
Support production deployments and troubleshoot critical production issues when required.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
•
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
•
3–7 years of professional experience in modern web application development.
•
Strong proficiency in TypeScript, and CSS3.
•
Hands-on experience with React js, Next.js**,** and modern frontend frameworks.
•
Strong understanding of component-based architecture, state management, and responsive design.
•
Experience with Git, code review processes, and CI/CD pipelines.
•
Strong understanding of software design principles and frontend architecture.
•
Experience with working on Server Side Rendering using Next.js or any other similar frameworks.
•
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative Agile environment.
