Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in business, management, human resources, public administration, counseling, industrial psychology or a related field as defined by the Appointing Authority at the time of recruitment AND two years of professional level human resources, to include interpreting and applying employment laws, rules and policies, conducting investigations and writing reports, providing coaching and training to line supervisors and managers, reviewing/drafting disciplinary documents, and/or working within an employee merit system.
(Relevant experience and/or education from an accredited college or university may be substituted).
Five years of experience with Pima County in a classification performing professional level human resources responsibilities to include routinely and accurately applying rule and policy interpretations, basic application of human resources practices and principles, providing guidance/feedback to staff on workplace culture, disciplinary processes, performance management, and document reviews.
