The ideal candidate must be an experienced designer with an established portfolio showcasing elevated, effective, and on-brand work for a variety of clients, stores, and niches. That portfolio should show both sides of this role: website and e-commerce design that shipped and performed, and marketing creative such as ad sets and email campaigns. Having been part of a design team before is a must for this role.
The Designer should have solid experience with Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite, and should be comfortable designing for WordPress and WooCommerce builds, including an understanding of what a theme or page builder can realistically implement. Experience with Elementor or a comparable builder, basic HTML and CSS literacy, familiarity with an email platform such as Klaviyo or Mailchimp, motion or short-form video editing, and previous agency experience are all considered a plus.
The Designer must be able to act swiftly upon receiving urgent requests and be able to work consistently with high levels of accountability. The right person will be professional and also have extensive graphic design experience, as well as strong communication, presentation, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills to effectively deliver work of high quality promptly. You will need to possess a refined aesthetic sense, strong typography skills, effective time management skills, a high level of responsiveness, and the ability to take action and work fast to implement changes and solve design-related problems.
Familiarity with tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, Slack, a time-tracking tool, a project management tool, and the Google Workspace Suite is a must for this role. You should feel comfortable working in a remote environment. Availability, accountability, professionalism, responsiveness, and consistency are highly important factors for us, so the Designer should display these qualities when it comes to workload commitments and general availability during office hours.
