MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO BE ACCOMPLISHED:
Responsible for product design and development using NX software.
Responsible for project planning and executions.
To ensure the project quality as per the standards
To meet the delivery deadlines.
EDUCATION (Qualifications obtained in the course of formal education and/or training) -
Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering stream.
Major Accountabilities:
Own the end-to-end design, development, and release of automotive Low Voltage (LV) and High Voltage (HV)
electrical centers, including
fuse boxes, power distribution units, HV junction boxes, and related assemblies.
Perform hands-on MCAD design using Siemens NX, including creation and maintenance of 3D part and assembly
models, large assemblies,
detailed 2D drawings, specifications, and BOMs for mechanical and electromechanical systems.
Interpret engineering drawings and specifications, effectively communicating design intent to manufacturing and
quality teams.
Apply GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and packaging constraints to ensure dimensional accuracy and proper
integration of complex
electrical and mechanical interfaces.
Ensure designs comply with automotive requirements for thermal performance, electrical safety, sealing (IP
ratings), vibration, and durability.
Drive Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, and Test (DFM/DFA/DFT) in collaboration with manufacturing
engineering, tooling teams, and
suppliers.
Manage design release and configuration control through established ECR/ECN processes, ensuring data
accuracy, traceability, and revision
control.
Support Design Validation (DV) and Production Validation (PV) activities by reviewing test results and
implementing corrective and preventive
design actions.
Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, CAE, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and supplier teams to
resolve technical, production,
and launch issues.
Support supplier technical reviews, tooling development, PPAP activities, and production launch readiness.
Apply prototyping techniques to develop and evaluate physical prototypes for design validation and testing.
