Motorola Solutions is a global leader in public safety and enterprise security. Our solutions in land mobile radio communications, video security & access control and command center software, bolstered by managed & support services, create an integrated technology ecosystem to help make communities safer and businesses stay productive and secure. The Government Video team consists of Fixed and Mobile Video (Formerly WatchGuard Video, Vigilant Solutions and Avigilon). Motorola Solutions is one of the world’s largest producers of in-car video systems, body-worn cameras, license plate reading technology and fixed surveillance video and access control. Our department is the forefront of Motorola to be subject matter experts in the aforementioned product sleeves to drive account management and sales.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
•
Ability to develop and execute on winning strategy within an assigned territory and existing account base
•
Schedule and lead customer meetings that include prospecting, existing account management and garnering relationships with Economic Buying Influences (Chief, Sheriff, City/County Administrators)
•
Prospect, schedule and run product demonstrations for both license plate reader, mobile and fixed video products
•
Uncovering additional sales opportunities within existing accounts including the entire Motorola portfolio
•
Strong problem solving abilities to identify and overcome sales obstacles
•
Promote extended warranty and maintenance programs to existing, eligible customers
•
Ensuring client awareness regarding the usefulness and proper operation of the products and services that were purchased
•
Work with existing Solution Sellers focusing on other parts of the portfolio in the region for cross-selling opportunities
•
Build a long term funnel and engage competitive accounts
•
Coordinate and/or participate in state user group meetings and technology workshops
Qualifications:
•
Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of sales, sales engineering, customer success, military, and/or public safety experience
•
OR 6+ years of sales, sales engineering, customer success, military, and/or public safety experience
•
Outside sales experience selling solutions into government organizations desired
•
Strong relationship development and management skills
•
Ability to be a strong self-starter and hunt to identify/create sales opportunities
•
High-caliber, articulate, and motivated sales professional
•
Knowledge of industry trends and best practices a plus
Location/Travel:
•
Preferred candidates will reside in the state of Minnesota
•
Travel within the states of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota up to 50% of the time
Benefits
Target Base Salary Range: $95,000 - $105,000 USD
Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
