Job Summary
We’re looking to add a/an Commodity Manager Indirect located in Perai, Penang. To lead sourcing strategy, supplier management, and cost optimization across indirect spend categories
What a typical day looks like:
•
Develop and execute category strategies for indirect spend (e.g., MRO, services, CapEx support)
•
Drive cost savings, demand management, and supplier consolidation initiatives
•
Lead supplier selection, contract negotiation, and performance management (KPIs/QBRs)
•
Partner with operations, engineering, finance, HR, and EHS to support business needs
•
Ensure procurement compliance and governance (e.g., No PO No Service)
•
Monitor market trends and manage supply risks and continuity plans
•
Track and report savings, KPIs, and supplier performance metrics
•
Lead and develop procurement team capability across sites.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
•
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field (MBA preferred)
•
10+ years of procurement/sourcing experience, preferably in indirect categories
•
Experience in multi-site or regional supplier management
•
Strong track record in cost reduction, negotiation, and stakeholder management
