Catilas Resources Limited on behalf of our client, a leading commercial Bank urgently needs the services of a Maker. The Maker is responsible for initiating, processing, and preparing customer and operational transactions in line with the bank’s policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate should possess the following responsibilities:
Transaction Processing:
•
Initiate and process financial and non-financial transactions accurately and within approved timelines.
•
Process account maintenance requests, fund transfers, and other operational transactions.
•
Prepare transactions for review and approval under the Maker-Checker framework.
Compliance & Risk Management:
•
Verify transaction details and supporting documents for accuracy and compliance.
•
Ensure adherence to KYC, AML, regulatory, and internal control requirements.
•
Escalate discrepancies, exceptions, and suspicious transactions promptly.
Documentation & Record Keeping:
•
Maintain accurate transaction records and supporting documentation.
•
Ensure proper filing and availability of records for audit and compliance purposes.
Reconciliation & Issue Resolution:
•
Support periodic reconciliations and resolve outstanding operational issues.
•
Liaise with relevant stakeholders to address transaction-related concerns.
Service Delivery & Continuous Improvement:
· Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
· Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
· Stay updated on relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
•
Minimum of HND/Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant discipline.
•
Previous banking operations experience is an added advantage.
•
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
•
Good knowledge of banking operations and compliance requirements.
•
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
•
Strong communication and organizational skills.
•
Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence.
