Your challenge, if you wish to accept it, will be to create innovative and effective enablement materials that support Johnson Controls’ sellers to understand customer needs throughout a building’s lifecycle , communicate value, and position our broader building systems and services portfolio with confidence. How you will do it
•
Design intuitive and creative learning or performance support tools and sales programs
•
Develop training with an emphasis on innovative learning and performance support that could be used globally
•
Apply what you know about adult learning and share what you learn along the way with the rest of the team
•
Use strong project management skills in developing outcomes that positively impact the business
•
Work very closely with team members who will develop your designs
•
Partner and collaborate with Commercial (Sales) focused learning experience designers (peers) located across the globe
•
Driven curation strategies that pull content from multiple sources across our learning ecosystem
•
Drive in depth discovery and needs analysis with stakeholder and learner interviews
•
Act as an internal consultant and combine multiple perspectives into holistic solutions that maximize the impact on the business
•
Create and support a strong global team environment
•
Engage commercial partners and stakeholders to develop capability building programs
•
Participate in organizational development exercises including group facilitation, team building, and systems analysis
•
Maintain current knowledge of trends and issues in instructional design and training
•
Understand technology to effectively design your learning and performance support tools
•
Leverage innovative learning technologies and platforms to deploy learning, including the Johnson Controls Workday Learning platform.

Establish measurement and evaluation plans that include key business metrics and return on investment strategies

Investigate new opportunities and develop effective training that is impactful and inventive
•
Directly impact key performance indicators such as quota attainment, secured volume, and revenue generation
•
Align your ingenuity and innovative ideas with the global strategic plan of the business
•
Learn on a day-to-day basis about how our equipment and strategies work to conserve energy and protect our environment
Focus on Johnson Controls’ expanding portfolio of technology-based anproducts impacting our customers’ daily life
What we look for
•
Experience:
•
5-10 years of designing and developing learning solutions preferred (exposure to Commercial / Sales, Industrial Tech B2B solutions preferred)
•
5+ years of experience in Instructional Design and storyboarding, working for the Training & eLearning industry
•
At least 1-2 years of experience in stakeholder communication
•
Education:
•
Holds a bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, and Education or Graduate or PG from a recognized university
•
Demonstrates certain levels of proficiency in evaluations, Kirkpatrick model, Philips ROI model, ADDIE, Agile, cultural, and regional adjustments, change management, and adult learning theory
•
Technical: JCI’s product and services portfolio is complex, so we need someone who is quick to grasp how building environments are created and business lines organized. Don’t worry, we’ll help you with that!

Quality: Produces content and materials with the highest polish when required, but knows when to create fast and informal
•
Professional: Has personal ethics, does quality work, and has a positive attitude
•
Articulate: Has strong writing and communication skills
