As Senior Manager, Data Controls, you’ll sit at the centre of this work, partnering with delivery teams to translate mandatory data-control requirements into practical, actionable expectations while maintaining clear accountability between control governance and delivery.
You’ll act as the primary point of contact for delivery crews as they design, build and implement new or changed systems. You’ll provide technical guidance on applicable data-control requirements, review Data Impact Assessments, challenge gaps, and ensure material control requirements are appropriately reflected within change governance and CMRS processes. You’ll maintain a consolidated view of progress across multiple crews and squads, identifying where uplift activity may be off track and constructively challenging whether reported status is supported by observable evidence.
Importantly, this role provides governance, assurance and technical advisory leadership rather than direct delivery ownership. Your expertise will help teams understand what needs to be achieved from a strategic perspective, while delivery crews remain accountable for determining the technical solution, implementing controls and resolving identified gaps. You’ll be successful when delivery teams have a clear and consistent point of contact, understand the data-control requirements that apply to their change, and can translate identified gaps into actionable uplift activity.
