Loan Coordinator / Lender Liaison – Mortgage Operations | Remote

About the Role
At Pavago, one of our clients is hiring an experienced Loan Coordinator / Lender Liaison to manage active loan files and ensure they move efficiently from submission through closing.
You’ll serve as the primary coordination point between lenders, underwriters, and internal teams, maintaining clear visibility across every active loan while ensuring documentation, conditions, follow-ups, approvals, and deadlines remain on track.
This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in mortgage operations, loan processing, lender coordination, or real estate financing who understands how to keep deadline-sensitive transactions moving.

What You’ll Own
Lender & Underwriter Communication
•
Serve as the primary point of contact with lending partners
•
Maintain consistent communication throughout the loan lifecycle

Communicate loan updates clearly to internal stakeholders

Respond promptly to lender and underwriter requests

Loan Pipeline Management
•
Track active loan files from submission through closing
•
Review loan reports and lender updates daily

Identify bottlenecks before they impact closing timelines
•
Ensure every active loan has clear ownership and follow-up

Internal Team Coordination
•
Coordinate with internal teams to gather required documentation
•
Manage responses to lender and underwriting requests
•
Support timely submission of loan packages and updates
•
Proactively follow up on outstanding internal items
•
Keep stakeholders aligned on deadlines, requirements, and closing timelines
•
Ensure requested documentation reaches lenders promptly
•
Maintain clear ownership of outstanding action items
Documentation & File Management
•
Maintain complete and organized loan files
•
Ensure lender correspondence and documentation are properly recorded
•
Keep CRM and loan management systems accurate and current
•
Verify file completeness before important milestones
•
Maintain clear records throughout the lending process
•
Track documentation requirements and outstanding conditions
•
Ensure critical information can be quickly located when needed
Closing Coordination
•
Closely monitor loans approaching closing
•
Confirm outstanding conditions are addressed on time
•
Coordinate final requirements between lenders and internal stakeholders
•
Maintain visibility into expected closing and funding timelines
•
Follow up on last-mile documentation and approvals
•
Help prevent last-minute delays caused by missing information or communication gaps
•
Escalate potential closing risks early
Process Improvement
•
Identify inefficiencies in loan processing and lender communication
•
Recommend improvements that reduce:

Processing delays

Help develop standardized workflows for pipeline management and lender coordination

Requirements

Proven experience in:

Similar lending positions
•
Strong understanding of the U.S. mortgage or lending process
•
Experience managing loan files from submission through closing
•
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
•
Strong organizational and project management skills

Ability to manage multiple active loans simultaneously

What a Typical Day Looks Like
You may start your day by reviewing every active loan to identify new lender updates, outstanding conditions, missing documentation, and approaching deadlines.
Throughout the day, you’ll communicate with lenders and underwriters, follow up on outstanding conditions, coordinate documentation with internal teams, update loan statuses and CRM records, and track upcoming closing milestones.
You’ll also resolve or escalate potential bottlenecks and ensure loans approaching closing have their outstanding requirements completed.
In short: you keep every loan organized, every stakeholder informed, and every deadline moving toward a successful closing.
