We want you as a talented MAIT Additive Manufacturing Materials Intern to help us in our mission by contributing to Additive Manufacturing (AM) materials development, qualification, and in-house production for our vehicles Nyx Earth, Nyx Moon, and Storm.
The ideal candidate will support the development and qualification of materials for additive manufacturing applications. This includes supporting material characterization campaigns, powder management, process parameter development, quality activities, and technical manufacturing documentation.
As a MAIT Additive Manufacturing Materials Intern, you will gain hands-on experience across the lifecycle of critical spaceflight hardware, from early development stages through qualification and production. You will support the development, characterization, qualification, and industrialization of materials for Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) technologies. You will contribute to material characterization campaigns, new alloy development, powder management, process parameter development, manufacturing documentation, and quality-related activities.
Working as part of the LPBF Team and closely in collaboration with the AM Operations Team, as well as Propulsion and Quality teams, you will help us advance our additive manufacturing capabilities and support the delivery of flight-ready components across TEC’s propulsion, launch vehicle, and space systems programs.
