The Neuro Care Area Lead is responsible for leading the overarching medical strategy and activities for GE HealthCare’s PDx portfolio in the Neuro Care Area across USCAN, ensuring the safe, effective and appropriate use of products in clinical practice. This is a highly strategic senior medical leadership role; the Neuro Care Area Lead shapes the mid- to long-term direction of the Neuro Care Area within the USCAN, sets and executes the Neuro Care Area medical strategy, informs portfolio and evidence priorities, guides resource and budget allocation, and acts as a key thought partner to local leadership teams.
The Neuro Care Area Lead reports to the Head of Medical, USCAN and works directly with Neuro Care Area Medical Directors, Medical Advisors, Field Medical Specialists, MSLs. The role provides strategic direction, people leadership and oversight, supported by the Neuro Care Area Medical Director, while much of the day-to-day execution is carried out by Medical Advisor/Field Medical Specialist, MSLs and Medical Managers. The Neuro Care Area Lead is responsible for closely coordinating and aligning internal and field Medical Affairs initiatives for a given Neuro Care Area (Cardiology, Oncology, Neurology, etc.) including HCP and KOL scientific exchange, garnering & sharing of clinical insights, congress planning, scientific society collaboration, medical education, and evidence generation initiatives.
The Neuro Care Area Lead works cross-functionally with Application Specialists, Medical Information Specialists, Product, Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory Affairs, R&D, Quality, Pharmacovigilance and other functions to ensure medical excellence, robust safety and medical information governance, compliant execution and strong alignment with organizational operating plans.
