Rio Tinto is seeking an experienced Overseer to lead the day-to-day management of Hamersley Station, located near Tom Price in the heart of Western Australia’s Pilbara.
Hamersley Station spans approximately 266,000 hectares and forms part of Rio Tinto’s broader pastoral portfolio, alongside Rocklea Station and Juna Downs Station. Together, these stations cover approximately 770,000 hectares of Pilbara country surrounding Karijini National Park and the communities of Tom Price, Paraburdoo and Newman.
While the stations are managed as an integrated pastoral portfolio, this role is based at Hamersley Station and is focused on leading its day-to-day operations.
This is a broad operational leadership role, balancing livestock production with the safety and development of our people, animal welfare, land stewardship, cultural heritage and the long-term management of station assets.
The Overseer has responsibility for operational planning, safety performance, team leadership, livestock and grazing management, infrastructure, contractors and financial performance. You will have the autonomy to lead the day-to-day operation while being supported by the broader Pastoral Stations team and specialist capability from across Rio Tinto.
