About the role
DOF Canada is currently seeking a Cost Controller to join our Finance team. If you are looking for a dynamic environment to learn and grow your career, DOF Canada is a great opportunity!
Key Responsibilities
•
Develop and maintain OPEX and CAPEX budgets and forecast for vessels
•
Ensure all costs are captured and recorded correctly
•
Perform cost analysis and advise management on cost over-runs in a timely manner so corrective actions can be taken
•
Revise cost estimates at the end of every reporting period
•
Ownership and contribution to the development of the cost control function, routines and procedures within the financial and operational functions
•
Prepare and submit monthly, weekly, and ad-hoc financial reports
•
Other relevant duties/task as assigned by Vessel Managers, Finance Manager, Operations Manager or General Manager
Requirements
Key Qualifications and Experience:
•
University degree in Business administration or Finance
•
3-5 years’ experience in a related position, preferably in the energy and offshore marine environment industry
•
Experience in financial analysis and reporting
•
Excellent skills in Excel
•
Process oriented focus with attention to detail
•
Team oriented and flexible
•
Ability to work under pressure and extended hours to meet deadlines when required
