Summary
Genesys is looking for an experienced and highly motivated AI Sales Specialist to help drive the next phase of our AI growth in Korea.
This is a strategic sales role focused on identifying, developing, and converting new AI opportunities across our enterprise customer base and target accounts. Working alongside Account Executives and our broader customer-facing organization, the AI Sales Specialist will help customers understand how AI, Generative AI, and Agentic AI can transform customer experience, employee experience, and business operations.
This role goes beyond traditional product selling. We are looking for someone who combines strong business acumen, AI domain knowledge, consultative selling skills, and a hunter mindset — someone who can engage senior business and technology leaders, uncover meaningful business challenges, translate them into high-value AI use cases, and build compelling business cases for transformation.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work at the intersection of AI, Customer Experience, and Enterprise Transformation, helping some of Korea’s leading organizations reimagine how they engage with their customers through AI-powered Experience Orchestration.
Key Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to:
•
Drive AI pipeline and revenue growth in Korea by proactively identifying, developing, and converting AI opportunities across strategic enterprise accounts and new customers.
•
Work closely with Account Executives as an AI sales specialist/overlay, bringing AI expertise, thought leadership, and commercial leadership into strategic customer opportunities.
•
Engage senior Business and IT stakeholders to understand their strategic priorities and business challenges, and translate them into high-value AI, Generative AI, and Agentic AI use cases.
•
Lead consultative customer conversations around AI transformation, helping customers connect technology investment to measurable business outcomes such as improved customer experience, operational efficiency, employee productivity, and business growth.
•
Develop compelling AI business cases and value propositions, articulating the expected business impact, ROI, and transformation roadmap rather than focusing solely on technology features.
•
Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders across Business and IT, becoming a credible advisor on AI-driven Customer Experience and digital transformation.
•
Partner closely with Account Executives, Solution Consultants, AI specialists/architects, Value Consulting, CX Advisory, Customer Success, and partners to progress opportunities from discovery through workshops, validation/pilots, commercial engagement, and deployment.
•
Create new demand through proactive prospecting, executive engagement, workshops, industry discussions, and AI thought leadership, rather than relying solely on existing opportunities.
•
Maintain a strong understanding of the rapidly evolving AI landscape, including Generative AI, Agentic AI, AI Agents, conversational AI, and emerging enterprise AI use cases, and translate relevant developments into customer opportunities.
•
Develop a strong understanding of Genesys AI capabilities and articulate how AI-powered Experience Orchestration can help enterprises transform customer and employee experiences.
•
Build and manage a healthy AI pipeline with disciplined opportunity management, forecasting, and execution against revenue objectives.
•
Represent Genesys as an AI thought leader with customers, partners, and the broader Korean market.
Minimum Requirements
•
8+ years of enterprise technology/software sales or business development experience, with a proven track record of selling complex solutions to large enterprise customers.
•
Demonstrated experience in AI, Generative AI, AI Agents, cloud, SaaS, digital transformation, or other relevant enterprise technology solutions.
•
Strong business acumen with the ability to approach customer challenges in a consultative, management consulting-style manner, connecting technology to business strategy and measurable outcomes.
•
Proven ability to engage and influence C-level and senior Business and IT decision-makers.
•
Demonstrated hunter mentality, with experience proactively creating new opportunities and building pipeline rather than primarily managing an existing customer base.
•
Strong customer relationships and credibility within the Korean enterprise market, with the ability to establish trust based on personal expertise, insight, and value.
•
Ability to understand complex customer challenges and translate them into compelling AI use cases, value propositions, and commercial opportunities.
•
Strong understanding of the enterprise AI landscape and a genuine passion for AI, demonstrated through continuous learning and curiosity about emerging AI technologies and business applications.
•
Experience managing complex enterprise sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, partners, technical teams, and executive decision-makers.
•
Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and executive engagement skills in Korean and English.
Desirable Skills
•
Experience in Customer Experience (CX), Customer Journey, Contact Center, CCaaS/AICC, CRM, customer service transformation, or other front-office domains.
•
Experience selling AI/GenAI solutions through cloud platforms, enterprise software, SaaS, CRM, Contact Center, or digital transformation offerings.
•
Understanding of Conversational AI, Virtual Agents, Agentic AI, Copilots, speech/voice AI, or AI-powered customer engagement.
•
Existing relationships with senior executives and decision-makers within major Korean enterprises.
•
Experience developing AI transformation strategies, conducting customer workshops, building business cases, or leading AI pilots/PoCs.
•
Ability to operate effectively in a cross-functional and matrixed global organization, collaborating across sales, technical, consulting, customer success, and partner teams.

Success in this role is not simply about being knowledgeable about AI.
We are looking for someone who can turn AI conversations into meaningful customer transformation and commercial opportunities — someone who can proactively create demand, earn the trust of senior customers, develop compelling AI use cases, and ultimately drive new AI pipeline and revenue for Genesys in Korea.
