MAIN JOB OBJECTIVE
Reporting directly to the Director of eCommerce, the Manager, Email & SMS Marketing will play an integral role on the Fresh Global eCommerce team, managing the email and SMS marketing channels with a focus on US-led campaigns that support revenue, traffic, customer acquisition, retention, and customer engagement. The Manager, Email & SMS Marketing is a results-oriented marketer with a passion for creating impactful customer experiences. They are a strong project manager, intuitive marketer, and collaborative partner who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional, global environment. Bringing fresh ideas and data-informed recommendations, they will manage and optimize email and SMS programs that support business growth while improving customer engagement and channel performance.
Job Description
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
•
Manage the email and SMS marketing strategy, with a focus on US-led campaigns that can be adapted by smaller markets to support revenue, customer acquisition, retention, and engagement across key customer touchpoints.
•
Own the execution and optimization of all email/ SMS workflows, email calendar, campaign briefing and UAT.
•
Monitor email and SMS channel performance, including forecasting inputs, budget tracking, reporting, and identifying opportunities to support continuous growth.
•
Manage the email and SMS marketing calendar with a US-led focus, ensuring alignment with integrated marketing plans, product launches, promotions, and key commercial initiatives.
•
Partner cross-functionally with Global Marketing, eCommerce, Creative, Digital, Analytics, Technology, and external agency partners to deliver seamless customer communications.
•
Monitor and analyze channel performance, including engagement, conversion, revenue, and retention metrics, translating insights into actionable recommendations and optimization strategies.
•
Support and maintain the testing roadmap across email and SMS, including A/B and multivariate testing, to improve customer engagement and business performance.
•
Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive activity to ensure Fresh’s email and SMS programs remain innovative and best-in-class.
•
Serve as the business point of contact for campaign briefing and execution, partnering closely with Campaign Operations and cross-functional stakeholders to support timely, high-quality delivery.
•
Identify opportunities to enhance marketing processes and tools to improve operational efficiency and support business needs.
What you will learn in the first 6 months:
•
Develop a deep understanding of the Fresh brand, product portfolio, customer base, and global eCommerce strategy.
•
Become a SME in adobe campaign, running day to day global campaign execution and ensuring workflows are set up and deploying as planned
•
Master the US led- calendar, ensuring all workflows align w/ US priorities and flow strategy to CA and INTL markets.
•
Build strong partnerships with Global, Creative, Technology, Analytics, and agency teams to support effective email and SMS marketing execution.
•
Become proficient in Fresh’s marketing technology ecosystem, including Adobe Campaign, BeeFree, Qlik, and other supporting tools.
What you will achieve in 12 months:
•
Establish yourself as a key resource for email and SMS marketing, bringing informed recommendations and data-driven insights to the business.
•
Manage the execution, optimization, and performance monitoring of the email and SMS marketing channels for Fresh.com, supporting revenue, engagement, and retention goals.
•
Implement and refine a testing and optimization roadmap that supports improvements across customer engagement, conversion, and channel performance.
•
Partner with Global and Regional stakeholders to support customer communications, ensuring campaigns are aligned with business priorities and delivered with operational excellence.
•
Apply email and SMS marketing best practices, recommending new ideas, technologies, and process improvements that enhance the customer experience and improve marketing effectiveness.
•
Contribute to a stronger foundation for future customer lifecycle marketing initiatives as the business continues to evolve.
Requirements
Physical Requirements:
•
Must be able to remain in a stationary position on average of 7.5 hours/day.
•
Light to moderate lifting may be required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, and operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
Qualifications
PROFILE
You have
•
4-7+ Years of Experience managing email marketing and/or SMS programs, with a proven track record of driving customer engagement and business results.
•
You have:
•
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field.
•
Experience with enterprise email marketing platforms (e.g., Adobe Campaign) and working knowledge of HTML required.
•
Experience with Google Analytics and leveraging data to optimize marketing performance.
•
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
•
Familiarity with customer lifecycle marketing, audience segmentation, and personalization strategies; experience with CRM platforms is considered an asset.
•
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable marketing strategies.
•
Proven success optimizing email and SMS performance through testing, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
•
Deep understanding of email and SMS marketing best practices, including deliverability, compliance, and customer engagement.
•
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
•
Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently, drive initiatives forward, and consistently meet deadlines.
