Within F&S, the Controllers division is responsible for safeguarding BlackRock’s financial integrity through accurate accounting, strong internal controls, and high-quality financial and regulatory reporting. The function oversees the recording and reporting of the firm’s revenue, expenses, assets, and liabilities across core finance processes, including corporate accounting, external and regulatory reporting, finance operations, and regional controller activities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and audit expectations. Partnering closely with Tax, Treasury, Legal, Risk, and business stakeholders, Controllers deliver disciplined execution and scalable operating infrastructure that support both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic objectives.
Within Controllers, the Financial & Prudential Reporting (“FPR”) team delivers accurate and timely financial, statutory, and regulatory reporting for BlackRock’s corporate legal entities, primarily across EMEA. The team reports results monthly under US GAAP and quarterly under IFRS, producing management accounts, board and committee materials, regulatory returns, and statutory financial statements. Through strong governance, technical expertise, and close partnership with internal stakeholders, regulators, and auditors, FPR ensures financial transparency, regulatory compliance, and effective legal entity oversight
