While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently handles sharp blades and knife equipment, and is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to hot water (up to 140 degrees) and cleaning chemicals used in the Knife Room, and occasionally exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat elsewhere in the plant. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
