Job Description
As a Solution Consultant, you are the trusted advisor and solution expert & strategist within the sales team. You work alongside Account Managers, Customer Success, Product Management and Partners to help organizations transform the way they operate through modern enterprise software solutions.
You combine deep business understanding with technology expertise to help customers solve complex challenges, achieve strategic objectives and realize measurable business outcomes.
From initial discovery through executive engagement, solution design and demonstration, you play a pivotal role in shaping customer decisions and influencing successful business outcomes.
You are passionate about understanding customer needs, building trusted relationships and connecting business challenges to innovative solutions that deliver long-term value.
Together with passionate colleagues, you drive the Business Transformation through People-Centric ERP solutions and are crucial in revolutionizing the market with Unit4’s the Ambient ERP next-generation software.
What You’ll Do
Lead Business Discovery
•
Engage with executive and operational stakeholders to understand strategic priorities, challenges and transformation objectives.
•
Facilitate discovery sessions that uncover business drivers, success metrics and desired outcomes.
•
Build credibility as a trusted advisor by providing industry insight and best-practice guidance.
Connect Challenges to Outcomes
•
Translate customer business requirements into compelling solution strategies.
•
Align product capabilities with measurable customer outcomes and business value.
•
Help customers envision future-state processes and ways of working.
Deliver High-Impact Demonstrations
•
Design and deliver tailored demonstrations that tell a compelling business story.
•
Showcase how solutions address customer priorities rather than simply presenting product features.
•
Create memorable experiences that help stakeholders visualize business transformation.
Shape Winning Opportunities
•
Partner closely with Sales throughout the customer journey.
•
Influence opportunity strategy, qualification and competitive positioning.
•
Develop solution approaches that differentiate Unit4 in competitive situations.
Act as the Voice of the Customer
•
Bring customer insights back into Product Management, Marketing and Solution Consulting communities.
•
Identify emerging trends, market requirements and innovation opportunities.
•
Contribute to the evolution of industry solutions and go-to-market strategies.
Drive Thought Leadership
•
Stay current on industry trends, challenges and competitor positioning.
•
Share knowledge internally and externally through presentations, customer events and communities.
•
Build credibility through expertise and insight rather than product knowledge alone.
Support Customer Decisions
•
Contribute to RFPs, RFIs and business cases.
•
Respond to functional, business and solution-related questions.
•
Help customers and buying teams navigate complex decision-making processes.

Qualifications
Business Consulting Mindset
•
Strong ability to understand business processes, operating models and organizational challenges.
•
Experience facilitating discovery and consultative conversations.
•
Ability to connect technology capabilities with business outcomes.
Executive Communication
•
Comfortable engaging with C-suite, leadership teams and senior decision makers.
•
Excellent presentation, storytelling and communication skills.
•
Ability to communicate complex topics in a clear and compelling manner.
Solution Consulting Expertise
•
Experience in enterprise software, ERP, Financial Management or related technology domains.
•
Advocate of the Ambient ERP next-generation software concept
•
Ability to deliver tailored demonstrations and solution presentations.
•
Experience supporting strategic sales opportunities.
Industry Knowledge
•
Understanding of industry challenges and emerging trends in NL public services organizations like ZBO’s, municipalities, waterboards, provinces, etc.
•
Ability to bring relevant insight and best practices to customer conversations.
•
Interest in helping organizations transform through technology.
Collaborative Leadership
•
Strong relationship-building skills.
•
Ability to influence without formal authority.
•
Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
