• Support and participate in design peer reviews and resolve action items.
• Revise technical data packages in support of design changes and producibility.
• Submit change requests for technical data package revisions and shepherd this change request through the approval process in accordance with configuration control, documentation policies and processes, and validation requirements.
• Create new drawings to be included in technical data packages while adhering to policies and processes governing configuration control, documentation standards, and design validation.
• Perform mechanical design, development, and documentation of components, sub-assemblies, for transportable radar systems and equipment in accordance with industry, government, and company policies and processes.
• Collaborate in a matrix organization when revising drawings, integrating inputs from subject matter experts in multiple disciplines, including Structural & Thermal Analysts, Materials Engineering, Quality, Safety, Supply Chain, Operations, and Program Leadership as needed.
• Support the factory and suppliers (domestic) with product development, assembly, obsolescence, and troubleshooting.
• Interface with other engineering disciplines, non-technical disciplines, and suppliers to develop design solutions and resolve technical challenges.
• Apply knowledge and experience in technical problem solving and hardware development in a fast paced and challenging team environment.
• Work with one or more Mechanical Engineering leads to meet commitments for assigned schedule and technical goals, becoming an expert in time management and prioritization.
