Qualifications
• At least five (5) years of law firm experience, preferably in commercial litigation case work.
• Extensive knowledge of Superior and District Court procedures and filings, as well as familiarity with Appellate Court rules and processes.
• Knowledge of arbitration procedures and experience preparing, managing and filing arbitration documents and submissions.
• Excellent understanding of discovery, motions, subpoenas, summons and complaints, and any court document that must be responded to in a timely manner.
• Knowledge of Pacer, court e-filings, Legal Solutions, and court rules.
• Ability to quickly locate court rules and forms on the Internet.
• Significant understanding of court deadlines, calendaring and docketing procedures.
• Must be flexible with work hours based on needs of the Firm and must arrive to work on time.
• Highly adept at managing multiple tasks and prioritizing responsibilities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
• Skilled at interpreting, understanding, and following detailed instructions with accuracy and efficiency.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and clarity.
• Exceptionally organized and thorough, with a consistent commitment to follow-through and high-quality work.
• Demonstrates a proactive, positive attitude and a self-motivated approach to responsibilities.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision, while also being a reliable and collaborative team player.
• Exposure to a large international law firm is beneficial but not required.
• Foreign language skills are a plus. Practice Assistants possessing foreign language skills may be asked to translate documents and conversations.
• Ability to work under pressure and with a variety of personalities.
