About The Role
We are looking for a highly driven Business Development & Strategy professional to lead strategic insurance initiatives across Trendyol’s fintech and financial services ecosystem. The role will be responsible for identifying, designing and executing new insurance business opportunities, from strategy and business case development through partner management, product launch and commercial scaling.
The role will work closely with internal business, product, technology, legal and finance teams, as well as insurance companies, fintechs and other strategic partners, to build innovative insurance propositions and embedded insurance models across the ecosystem.
The ideal candidate combines strong insurance and fintech knowledge with a commercial and entrepreneurial mindset, proven experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives, and the ability to translate market opportunities into scalable and profitable businesses.
Responsibilities

Delivery of insurance business strategy and new business initiatives
•
Revenue, P&L and profitability contribution of assigned insurance portfolios
•
Identification and conversion of new business and partnership opportunities
•
Successful launch and scaling of new insurance products and propositions
•
Partner performance and strategic partnership development
•
Business case quality, speed of execution and end-to-end project delivery
•
Customer adoption, penetration and portfolio growth
•
Contribution to the expansion of Trendyol’s fintech and ecosystem insurance offering
Expected Qualifications
Background & Technical Requirements
•
Strong commercial and analytical mindset, with experience owning or significantly contributing to P&L and business growth
•
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders
•
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to turn ambiguous opportunities into scalable insurance businesses
•
10+ years of experience in the insurance industry, ideally across business development, product, strategy or commercial roles.
•
Strong P&C and Life & Health insurance experience.
•
Proven track record of developing and launching insurance products end-to-end, including product design, pricing, underwriting structure, capacity sourcing and commercial launch.
•
Strong understanding of insurance economics, underwriting, pricing, portfolio management and the regulatory environment
•
Proven experience working with insurers, reinsurers and brokers, with the ability to structure and negotiate strategic partnerships
Strategy & Business Growth
•
Define and execute the insurance business strategy, identifying and scaling new growth opportunities across the ecosystem.
•
Own the insurance portfolio roadmap, P&L and commercial performance.
Build business cases, commercial models and investment plans for new insurance opportunities.
Product Development & Portfolio Management
•
Lead the “end-to-end development and launch of insurance products” from customer need and proposition design to product structuring, pricing, capacity sourcing, partner setup, regulatory readiness, operational setup, launch and scaling.
•
Drive portfolio growth, profitability and continuous product optimization through data and customer insights.
Partnerships & Market Development
•
Identify and secure the right “insurance and reinsurance capacity”, working closely with insurers, reinsurers and brokers.
•
Develop and manage strategic partnerships across the insurance ecosystem.
Strategic & Cross-Functional Leadership
•
Lead complex cross-functional initiatives across Product, Technology,
Operations, Legal, Finance and Growth.
•
Leverage market intelligence, analytics and AI-enabled tools to identify opportunities and support strategic and executive decision-making.
