Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Edge

Reports to: Head of Security
We build rugged edge-compute devices for extreme environments — the small, hardened computers that run alongside our mesh radios and sensors in the field. Today those devices are built and configured one at a time, by hand, and they reach the field inconsistently set up. This role turns that into a repeatable process: one standard hardware-and-software build, produced the same way every time, secure by default, and ready to ship.
This is a build-from-scratch role. You’ll define what “reliable” means for hardware that has to keep working in harsh, sometimes disconnected conditions, and build the tooling to get there. You’ll work closely with our Head of Security so the devices are secure from the ground up.
You don’t need a defence background, and you don’t need to have done every part of this before. If you’ve run Linux on real hardware and want to own a system end to end, we’d like to talk.
