About the Team
APAC Solution Consulting team is expanding into India! We are hiring GTM roles including Presales Solution Consultant (Planning) to grow our presence in the country.
More than 700 global corporations and several millions of end-users are users of Workday products in India. We are building on this strong base and work closely with our partners to bring our solutions, to the local organisations! We believe there is an increased opportunity to expand our Financial and Workforce Planning business portfolio. Increasingly, organisations that want to transform the way they operate are replacing legacy systems with Workday’s SaaS Enterprise Management applications.

As a member of our diverse and skilled Presales team, you will sit at the intersection of Sales, Product Management, Consulting, and Marketing. Your mission is to bring the value of Workday solutions to life, showcasing how the office of the CFO and CHRO can be revolutionized through next-generation SaaS planning and consolidation applications.
About the Role
Workday is looking for a senior-level technical professional with deep expertise in Enterprise Planning and Analytics. You will leverage your product and industry knowledge to provide functional expertise throughout the sales process for our largest enterprise prospects.
Responsibilities
You will lead discovery workshops with prospective customers to uncover business requirements and value. You will provide authoritative overview and deep-dive product demonstrations and position the unique value of Workday Adaptive Planning. You will conduct executive-level presentations and provide trusted advice and mentorship as a planning subject matter expert. We also assist in responding to RFPs, participate in Workday events such as webinars, customer forums, and industry conferences and tradeshows.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Strategic Discovery: Lead workshops with prospective customers to uncover business requirements, current pain points, and potential value.
•
High-Impact Demonstrations/Presentations: Deliver authoritative deep-dive product demonstrations and executive-level presentations that position the unique value of Workday Adaptive Planning.
•
Technical Excellence: Develop and champion Workday-based solutions, which may include rapid prototyping, creating mini-applications, or delivering complex Proofs of Concept (POC).
•
Trusted Advisor: Build deep relationships with C-level stakeholders—specifically the office of the CFO—offering mentorship and credible subject matter expertise.
•
Sales Partnership: Collaborate with Account Executives to lead RFP/RFI responses and develop winning value propositions.
About You
Basic Qualifications
•
10+ years of overall professional experience, including at least 5 years working with Finance Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting systems in enterprise environments.
•
3+ years’ experience and proven track record in a Presales Solution Consulting role, ideally within a software/SaaS environment.
•
3+ years extensive experience presenting to C-level executives with the ability to communicate influentially.
•
Strong understanding of the Financial Planning and Consolidation functional areas as well as Workforce Planning.
Other Qualifications:
•
Exposure to Planning solutions from Anaplan, Onestream, IBM Planning Analytics/TM1, SAP and Oracle would be an advantage
•
Knowledge of Generative and Agentic AI as applied to the Finance domain and experience in positioning embedded or built-on-AI solutions to business and technology stakeholders
•
Experience engaging with medium and large enterprises across various industries such as FSI, Higher Education, Healthcare, Government, Professional Services and Retail.
•
Experience in Workforce, Headcount, Sales and Operational Planning will be desirable.
•
You are an exceptional, dynamic presenter with strong communication and influencing skills, specifically to a C-level Finance leadership audience
•
You possess credibility and passion for presentations and product demonstrations around FP&A technology solutions
•
You thrive under pressure and can manage multiple, simultaneous engagements with different prospects
•
You are a “continuous learner” who is passionate about innovation and creative problem-solving.
•
Applicants must have willingness to travel up to 50% of the time to engage with customers and partners in the field.
•
You are adaptable and excited to work in a high growth, evolving organization.
•
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
