Job Description:
The Role: Manager, Manufacturing Operations Management (Production Manager)
The Production Manager leads end‑to‑end injection molding operations, ensuring safe, stable, and high‑quality production in alignment with customer demand and downstream assembly requirements. This role is accountable for operational performance across safety, quality, delivery, and cost, while building organizational capability through strong people leadership, disciplined execution, and continuous improvement. The position plays a key role in supporting business growth, product transfers, and long‑term site competitiveness.
What You’ll Do:
•
Lead and manage daily injection molding operations to consistently achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
•
Plan and optimize production resources—including manpower, equipment, tooling, and materials—to meet current demand and future capacity needs.
•
Own the execution of product transfers and qualifications for molded parts, ensuring robust process readiness and adherence to schedule, cost, and quality requirements.
•
Drive product and process quality through disciplined management of CARs, QNs, SPC, audit performance, and scrap reduction.
•
Champion a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with company EHS policies, regulatory requirements, and site standards.
•
Build, develop, and coach production teams to sustain high performance and readiness for business growth.
•
Conduct training needs analysis (TNA) for direct reports and ensure timely and effective execution of development plans.
•
Identify opportunities for cost reduction and productivity improvement.
•
Lead performance reviews, employee development discussions, and succession planning for the organization.
•
Sustain a Lean Six Sigma culture by driving continuous improvement initiatives and eliminating non‑value‑added activities.
•
Partner cross‑functionally to support site priorities, corporate manufacturing strategies, and digital transformation initiatives.
What We Seek:
•
Experience leading high‑volume manufacturing operations in a global company, ideally with 7+ years in injection molding.
•
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering related field.
•
Demonstrated results in quality, delivery, cost, and safety, with hands‑on production leadership experience.
•
Proven success in capacity expansion and production ramp‑ups within fast‑paced manufacturing environments.
•
Strong technical knowledge of molding, tooling, and product transfer, operating in quality‑driven or regulated settings.
•
Lean / Six Sigma mindset, applying data‑driven continuous improvement to improve yield and productivity.
•
Strong communication and influencing skills, with cross‑functional collaboration experience
Outstanding Candidates Will Have:
•
Proven manufacturing leader with hands‑on experience managing injection molding operations and delivering stable, efficient, and safe production in high‑volume environments.
•
Strong people developer who builds high‑performing teams through coaching, clear expectations, structured training, and effective performance management.
•
Operational excellence mindset with demonstrated ability to improve quality, delivery, and cost using Lean Six Sigma, data‑driven decision‑making, and structured problem‑solving.
•
Quality‑first leader with solid knowledge of manufacturing quality systems, product transfers, and variation control using SPC, FMEA, and preventive risk management.
•
Business‑focused manager who understands how production decisions impact customer delivery, cost performance, and long‑term capability, balancing short‑term execution with sustained improvement.
