Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a/an Inspection & Repair Operator to our team.
Reporting to the Inspection & Repair Operator the Inspection & Repair Operator will be in charge of supporting manufacturing operations through product inspection, defect identification, repair activities, and quality verification to ensure products meet workmanship and customer standards.
What a typical day looks like:
•
Set up workstations with the appropriate process inspection documents, screens, and workflow instructions.
•
Perform in-process and final “go/no-go” inspections on electronics, subassemblies, peripherals, and larger assemblies to identify defects according to workmanship standards.
•
Execute touch-up and repair activities on products as required.
•
Interpret manufacturing instructions, visual aids, drawings, microscopes, and magnification tools to support inspection and repair activities.
•
Scan products and accurately enter information into shop floor control systems and manual tracking systems.
•
Adjust, trim, or process materials and components to achieve specified electrical and dimensional requirements.
•
Communicate process issues and collaborate with manufacturing support teams, supervisors, and peers to resolve production concerns.
•
Document inspection results, including products inspected, rejected, and repaired.
•
Utilize repair materials, tools, and equipment necessary to perform repair operations effectively.
•
Operate inspection equipment, including Automatic Inspection machines, to identify defects and support product quality.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team,
•
At least 1 year of related manufacturing, inspection, repair, or production experience and successful completion of any related on-the-job training programs.
•
Demonstrated technical skills with the ability to support training, guide team members, and work across multiple shifts or product lines.
•
Ability to read and interpret moderately complex instructions, procedures, drawings, and visual aids.
•
Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present information to employees, leads, and supervisors.
•
Ability to apply common-sense problem-solving skills in standardized manufacturing environments.
•
Experience following quality standards, inspection procedures, and testing methods.
•
Ability to identify defects, analyze issues, and implement corrective actions within established procedures.
•
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and workmanship standards.
•
Proficiency using inspection tools, measuring devices, microscopes, magnification equipment, and automated inspection systems is preferred.
