Own day-to-day client onboarding and ongoing due diligence, help identify and shape the automation of manual compliance work, and grow over time into oversight of procedure design, QA, and regulatory relationships.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities
From day one
•
KYC/KYB onboarding — collect and verify entity documents, UBO/ownership structures, and identity verification
•
Sanctions, PEP, and adverse-media screening; clear and document alerts with clear, audit-ready rationale
•
Risk-score and tier clients at onboarding
•
Run periodic reviews and ongoing due diligence by risk tier
•
Keep case data clean and consistent so records stay audit-ready as processes evolve
Building toward oversight
•
Spot where manual, repetitive steps slow things down and flag them as automation candidates
•
Understand the tooling (document extraction, name-matching, adverse-media screening) well enough to know what’s possible — not to build it
•
Research, survey, and experiment with new tools in the market, and understand how to apply them
•
Take ownership of how automation is implemented and how efficient it becomes
•
Provide clear requirements and real-world context to the teams building the systems, and give structured feedback that validates automation produces the right outcomes
•
Grow into procedure design — setting risk appetite, tiering logic, and QA sampling
•
Take on regulatory relationships, exams, and audit responses, plus KPI/SLA reporting — overseeing a team or vendor rather than processing individually
Requirements
•
Working knowledge of the relevant AML/CFT and licensing framework
•
At least 2 years prior experience working in payments or financial services companies in an Operations role
•
An individual operator looking to shift into managing a set of agents — understands the tech needs and what they’ll require visibility into as needs shift
•
Willingness to learn compliance requirements for international systems
Nice to have
•
Experience building or working with AI tools or training models a plus
