Strategy & Planning Director | adidas Global
Join the team shaping the future of media for one of the world’s most iconic brands.
As part of the adidas Global Enablement team, you’ll help drive media strategy and planning excellence across markets worldwide. Working at the intersection of sport, culture and creativity, you’ll play a key role in helping adidas connect with audiences through innovative, effective and globally connected media solutions. This is an opportunity to influence work at scale, develop talented teams and set new standards for modern planning across Omnicom Media Group.
What you’ll do
As Strategy & Planning Director, you’ll lead the development of global communications strategies and planning frameworks that guide both brand activity and major campaigns. Partnering closely with senior adidas stakeholders, you’ll help shape briefs, uncover strategic opportunities and ensure planning recommendations are grounded in audience insight, effectiveness and business outcomes.
You’ll:

Set the strategic direction and planning standards for adidas globally.
•
Develop connected communications strategies across audience, channel, investment and measurement planning.
•
Translate cultural, behavioural and commercial insights into actionable planning guidance.
•
Lead global investment recommendations using data, planning tools and effectiveness learnings.
•
Drive innovation opportunities and help scale successful solutions across markets.
•
Connect planning, activation, measurement and optimisation to improve performance.
•
Champion OMNI and modern connected planning practices across the team.
•
Coach and develop two Planning Managers, fostering collaboration, growth and high standards.
What you’ll bring
•
Strong experience in communications strategy, media planning and effectiveness-led marketing.
•
Expertise across digital, social, content, commerce, addressable and traditional media.
•
Experience leading strategy on large, complex or international accounts.
•
A track record of building trusted relationships with senior clients and agency partners.
•
Confidence presenting strategic recommendations with clarity and influence.
•
A collaborative leadership style and passion for developing talent.
•
An international mindset, balancing global consistency with local relevance.
