About the role
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will play a leading role in the People Analytics team at Checkout.com. Our mission is to enable data-driven people decisions across the organisation, from the executive team to individual managers.
You will own analytics solutions end-to-end, backed by solid analytics engineering skills: the stakeholder instincts to deliver products that people actually use, the analytical judgement to turn data into insight, and the curiosity to push the boundary of what People Analytics can do with AI.
This is an embedded role. You will sit inside the People team and work directly with People leaders, the executive team, and partner departments such as Finance and Business Partnering. You will own the whole solution, from data modelling and pipeline work through to visualisation, analysis, insight and ongoing stakeholder support, rather than handing work to another team to finish.
This is a senior individual contributor role with real scope. You will own a portfolio of stakeholder relationships, shape what we build next, and contribute to one of the most ambitious People Analytics strategies in the business.
Job responsibilities
End-to-end product development. Own the full product development lifecycle for assigned stakeholder groups, from requirements gathering and design to pipeline development, Looker delivery, and enablement. You will be the primary People Analytics partner for Business Partnering and Finance, responsible for both supporting existing products and delivering new ones.
Advanced analytics. Conduct analyses that go beyond what happened to explain why and anticipate what comes next. Partner with the People Analytics Manager and senior stakeholders on the most complex and strategically important questions.
AI. Design, build, and deploy AI-powered data products. Working from our People Analytics AI roadmap, you will identify high-value use cases and deliver production-grade solutions, from intelligent data applications to agentic workflows, using our cloud-native stack.
Enablement. Drive data fluency across your stakeholder groups through demos, documentation, training, and self-service tooling. Make data accessible, not just available.
Data quality. Keep the data behind your products reliable and well documented, contributing to the continuous improvement of our pipeline, semantic layer, and the data products we share with other teams.

Key requirements
Essential
•
Experience owning data products end-to-end for business stakeholders, from requirements gathering through design, delivery and adoption
•
Track record of turning an ambiguous business question into a scoped deliverable, working directly with the stakeholder to get there
•
Significant experience as a data analyst, ideally in a team with established data engineering practices
•
Strong SQL, with hands-on experience in BigQuery or a comparable cloud data warehouse
•
Experience building and maintaining production data transformation code, meaning layered, version-controlled and tested models rather than one-off queries, with dbt or a comparable tool
•
Experience building dashboards and reporting in a data visualisation platform such as Looker, Tableau or Power BI
•
Excellent communication skills, able to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences
•
Collaborative, enablement-focused mindset: you build for self-service, not dependency
Desirable
•
Experience applying statistical or predictive techniques to a business problem
•
Exposure to AI product development, LLM tooling, or data applications
•
Experience with data quality frameworks, semantic layers, or data observability tooling
•
Prior experience working with HR, people, or workforce data
