GE Healthcare Japan is seeking a Master Planner to join the OEC Manufacturing team. This role is responsible for leading production planning and control, as well as optimizing the end-to-end supply chain to ensure operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
•
Manage master planning, material processes, and related systems for the OEC manufacturing team; develop and update production schedules and purchasing plans
•
Develop balanced production plans considering demand forecasts, production capacity, and inventory levels
•
Coordinate and align plans with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Sourcing, Logistics, and Commercial teams
•
Identify and execute solutions to address production delays, material shortages, and capacity constraints
•
Manage and optimize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems
•
Monitor and drive improvement of key KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery, inventory turns)
•
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain processes
•
Actively participate in the S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) process
•
Adjust plans flexibly in response to changing business needs
•
Apply sound judgment to propose improvements or alternative solutions beyond established parameters, with guidance as needed
•
Provide day-to-day guidance and support to new team members
Required Qualifications
•
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field
•
Minimum of 5 years of experience in master planning or production planning within a manufacturing environment
•
Experience with MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
•
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•
Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English (reading, writing, and speaking)
Preferred Qualifications
•
CPIM or APICS certification is a plus
•
Experience in the medical device industry is preferred
