We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Product Owner who thrives working shoulder-to-shoulder with engineers and turns customer, market and stakeholder signal into clear priorities. In this role, you will sit inside a product engineering team, alongside the lead and product engineers, shaping problem statements, backlog and sprint plans that the whole team believes in.
This is a full-time role based in Sofia, Bulgaria. We value in person collaboration and meet in the office at least 3 times a week.
Some of the things you’ll work on:
Bring outside context into the team, including customer feedback, support trends, usage data and competitive landscape.
•
Write clear, honest problem statements that a product engineer can pick up and run with.
•
Track outcomes after a feature ships, not just whether it ships.
•
Keep the backlog tidy and up to date in Jira, drafting new items and retiring stale ones.
•
Draft problem statements and acceptance criteria for new tickets, finishing acceptance criteria jointly with a product engineer where needed.
•
Run backlog grooming as a working session with product engineers.
•
Bring a clear “why it matters” into sprint planning and set the sprint goal together with the lead and product engineers.
•
Surface new signal that could shift priorities and work through trade-offs before committing to changes mid-sprint.
•
Shape and sequence the roadmap together with the lead and engineers, and own the “what problem is worth solving” call.
•
Join sprint reviews and demos to check delivered work against the original problem.
We’re excited if you have:
•
3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager or similar role, with real day-to-day ownership of a backlog.
•
Hands-on experience running Jira, including writing tickets and running or co-running grooming sessions.
•
Comfort working shoulder-to-shoulder with engineers rather than handing off finished specs.
•
Strong plain-language writing skills for problem statements and acceptance criteria.
•
Enough technical fluency to follow a trade-off conversation and ask the right questions.
•
A track record of prioritising under pressure, including saying no and explaining why.
•
Genuine curiosity about the “why” behind customer and business problems.
•
Familiarity with tools like Notion, Mixpanel or Amplitude for tracking outcomes post-launch.
•
Some direct customer-facing experience, such as support, sales engineering, customer success or research.
Why you’ll love it here:
•
Flexible working hours and home-office (2x per week)
•
Internal shares programme (EDPP)
•
Ergonomic workspace and cutting-edge technology
•
Regular team events
•
Modern and stylish offices
•
Sustainable merch for all employees
•
Adverity Social Responsibility Days (+2 days paid off)
