Purview Technology Operations – Configure, tune, and maintain Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management (IRM), Communication Compliance (CC) policies to support enterprise insider threat detection.
Policy & Use Case Development – Build and refine IRM policies, CC policies, sensitive information types (SITs), trainable classifiers, and adaptive scopes that identify both negligent and malicious insider risk activities.
Alert Triage & Tuning – Investigate Purview-generated alerts, perform root-cause analysis on false positives, and execute tuning cycles to improve signal fidelity and reduce analyst fatigue.
eDiscovery & Investigative Support – Leverage Microsoft Purview eDiscovery (Standard and Premium) to support insider threat investigations, legal hold requests, and HR/Legal inquiries, including case creation, custodian management, search, review, and defensible export of evidence.
Endpoint Insider Threat Monitoring – Operate and tune Proofpoint Insider Threat Management (ITM) to capture user activity telemetry, screen captures, and file movement evidence, ensuring detection rules and policies remain aligned with current insider risk use cases.
Cross-Platform Correlation – Correlate Purview and Proofpoint ITM telemetry with SIEM, UEBA, and EDR data sources (e.g., Splunk, Defender XDR) to enrich investigations and surface higher-confidence insider risk signals.
Governance & Framework Alignment – Support the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, and technical standards for Purview- and Proofpoint-based insider threat controls aligned with industry best practices.
Automation & Tooling – Develop scripts and queries (KQL, PowerShell, Graph API) to automate policy deployment, reporting, and operational health checks across Purview workloads.
Metrics & Reporting – Track KPIs/KRIs (e.g., alert volume, MTTR, policy efficacy, false positive rate) and produce operational reporting on platform health and detection coverage.
Regulatory Support – Ensure insider threat technologies and practices meet requirements under HIPAA, HITRUST, PCI-DSS, SOC2, and related regulatory frameworks.
