The Monetary and Capital Markets Department (MCM) of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is seeking a highly motivated Financial Sector Expert/Senior Financial Sector Expert to join the Financial Sector Assessments and Policies (FS) Division. The position will be based at the IMF’s headquarters in Washington, D.C.
The FS Division has four core responsibilities: (1) managing and reviewing the Financial Sector Assessment Program (FSAP), including its financial stability risk assessments; (2) developing FSAP policies and instruments, including efforts to integrate FSAP findings with other financial surveillance activities; (3) developing, applying, and evaluating analytical tools for financial stability assessment, including stress testing of banks and nonbank financial institutions, climate-related financial risk analysis, household and corporate sector vulnerability analysis using microdata, interconnectedness and system-wide stress testing, spillover analysis, and related methodologies; and (4) disseminating these analytical tools to internal and external audiences through technical assistance, technical cooperation, and training.
