About the role
TEXANS CROWN TOWING is actively seeking a reliable and experienced Heavy Duty Wrecker Driver to join our dynamic team. As a Heavy Duty Wrecker Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient towing and recovery of large vehicles and equipment, utilizing a heavy-duty wrecker. This position requires strong technical aptitude, excellent driving skills, and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
•
Operate a heavy-duty wrecker to recover, tow, and transport large vehicles and equipment safely.
•
Respond to towing requests and assist in the recovery of vehicles in various conditions.
•
Assess and determine the best towing method and equipment needed for each situation.
•
Conduct daily inspections and maintenance on the wrecker to ensure it is in safe working condition.
•
Maintain accurate documentation of services rendered, including records of repairs and customer interactions.
•
Provide clear communication to customers about services, timelines, and procedures.
•
Adhere strictly to safety protocols and industry regulations while performing towing duties.
•
Offer exceptional customer service and represent the company positively at all times.
•
Stay informed about best practices and trends in heavy-duty towing and recovery.
Requirements
•
Prior experience as a heavy-duty wrecker driver is required.
•
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
•
Strong knowledge of heavy-duty towing techniques and vehicle recovery operations.
•
Ability to operate and maneuver large towing vehicles safely and efficiently.
•
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
•
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
•
Physical fitness to handle demanding tasks associated with towing and recovery operations.
•
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call shifts.
•
ASE certifications in heavy-duty towing and recovery are preferred.
•
Familiarity with basic vehicle mechanics and ability to perform minor repairs is a plus.
