Wingham Court features comfortable en-suite bedrooms and a number of lounges, where residents can relax and socialise. The home benefits from four acres of beautifully well-maintained gardens.
The therapy department has a fully equipped gym, providing slow stream rehabilitation. The physical management programme is person-centred and focuses on preventing secondary complications and maximising function.
There is a bustling atmosphere in the home, with things going on which residents can freely join in with like quizzes, singing workshops, films, sports, Zumba, tai chi, visiting entertainers, etc. There are also special interest groups such as discussions, documentaries, ladies night, darts, boccia, reading, and gardening.
They also arrange lots of bespoke and 1-2-1 activities to cater for residents’ special interests, or where extra support is required to ensure their participation. They have their own mini bus for regular trips out to the pub, shopping and even the local ice skating rink, so residents don’t feel out of touch with their local community.
There is a dedicated art lounge and professional art teacher, children’s playground, a well-furnished IT suite, beautiful grounds with raised beds and two Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) registered tennis courts.
