Mid-level Production Supervisor position with limited complexity managing daily production function within a plant for a single production line or specific area for one shift, focuses on the development, management, and motiation of production personnel to increase productivity and improve efficiencies.
Main Responsibilities:

Supervise production team members and direct daily activities of production workers.
•
Ensure compliance with company policies, plant rules, safety rules, attendance policies, and production procedures.
•
Monitor production operations within assigned area to ensure compliance with methods, quality standards, safety regulations, and production requirements.
•
Review production orders, quantities, specifications, and product data to plan department operations.
•
Plan production operations by establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
•
Prepare operational schedules and coordinate manufacturing activities to meet quality specifications and customer expectations.
•
Review production and operating reports to identify and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance issues.
•
Inspect machines and equipment to ensure proper operational performance and optimum utilization.
•
Compile, store, and retrieve production data.
•
Develop or revise standard operational and working practices as needed.
•
Observe employees to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.
•
Maintain good safety and housekeeping practices throughout the production area.
•
Communicate acceptable work practices and cleanliness expectations to team members.
•
Provide orientation and on-the-job training for employees in the safe and efficient operation of equipment.
•
Provide counseling, coaching, and training to team members to support a qualified and quality-conscious workforce.
•
Address employee performance and behavior matters in accordance with company policies, applicable laws, and collective bargaining agreements, when applicable.
•
Adhere to and promote all Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures.
•
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
•
Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
•
Knowledge of production operations, safety standards, quality requirements, and equipment utilization preferred
•
Ability to read and interpret production orders, reports, specifications, and operating procedures
•
Ability to coach, train, and direct team members effectively
•
Must be willing to follow all company policies, plant rules, safety procedures, and attendance requirements
•
Must be willing to work assigned shift and overtime as needed
