Senior Manager, Medical Science Liaison

About the role
Responsible for developing and planning strategic field medical projects and initiatives that support structural heart education, strategic partnerships, program execution, and product adoption. Provide end-to-end leadership of program portfolios, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous optimization through data-driven decision-making and cross-functional collaboration.
How you’ll make an impact:
Strategic Project Development & Execution
•Develop and plan JAPAC KOL engagement strategies with accountability for the successful completion of all deliverables.
•Provide strategic oversight of international program portfolios, including prioritization, resource allocation, and end-to-end lifecycle management from concept through implementation across all business units.
•Identify and evaluate opportunities for process improvement and workflow optimization across field medical operations.
KOL Management & Tailored Solution
•Build, develop, and sustain strategic partnerships with KOLs, acting as a key influencer to shape scientifically aligned messaging and advance EW high-touch KOL programs in JAPAC.
•Define and execute JAPAC launch excellence frameworks for KOL engagement and training programs, ensuring alignment across regions and maximizing product adoption and procedural outcomes
•Lead the design and deployment of innovative, scalable education solutions to support product launches and lifecycle management
Team Leadership & Performance Management
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with company values, goals, and performance expectations.
•Monitor and evaluate MSL team performance, providing coaching and support to drive continuous improvement and results.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
•Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Professional Education, Marketing, Regulatory, Compliance, and the Field Team to align medical strategies with broader business objectives.
•Serve as a strategic advisor in the development of educational content, training tools, and field engagement strategies.
What you’ll need (Required):
•
Bachelor’s Degree in biological or Lifesciences field, 10 years of experience of previous hands-on clinical research related experience
-Master’s Degree or equivalent in biological or Lifesciences field, 8 years of experience of previous hands-on clinical research related experience
What else we look for (Preferred):
·Proven successful project management skills
·Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, Adobe, and ability to operate general office machinery
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship
·Extensive knowledge and understanding of Edwards policies, procedures, and international and domestic medical device regulatory guidelines relevant to clinical studies skills including consultative and relationship management skills
·Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills
·Extensive understanding of PMS regulations, Post Marketing Surveillance protocols, hospital environments and sterile techniques
·Extensive understanding of medical terminology as it relates to post marketing surveillance.
·Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
·Provide guidance to lower level personnel
·Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
·Strict attention to detail
·Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
·Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
·Must be able to work in a team environment, including serving as consultant to management.
·Ability to interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations
