As an Associate Accountant in the EMEA Account to Report organization, you will play a crucial role in Medtronic’s hire-to-retire and record-to-report processes. Working as part of an international finance team, you will help ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information while gaining valuable exposure to a broad range of accounting activities. This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic finance organization supporting the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. You will collaborate with stakeholders across functions and countries, contribute to process improvements, and support initiatives that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of finance operations.
You will be involved in payroll accounting, bonuses, accruals, general ledger activities, account reconciliations, month-end close, revenue recognition and financial reporting. In addition, you will contribute to cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives, giving you the opportunity to develop your accounting knowledge, analytical skills and understanding of end-to-end finance processes. This role is based at Medtronic’s Shared Service Center in Heerlen, the Netherlands, with a flexible hybrid working setup, typically combining 2-3 days in the office and remote work. You will report to the Accounting Manager for Payroll Finance and General Ledger and regularly collaborate with regional finance teams and business stakeholders.
