Position Title: Head IT Project Management Office (PMO) - TPL Insurance
Location: Karachi
Grade: VP

What is Head of IT PMO ?
Head of IT PMO will act as business POC to capture demand, coordinate with IT sub-department (software development, Infrastructure, Cloud Computing, Operations, QA etc.) team and manage the digitization of business processes, implementation of Insurtech ecosystem, and timely delivery of major business impacting projects
What does Head of IT PMO do ?
•
Identifies, assess and promotes leverage of existing and new technologies for increased productivity or new capability building.
•
Actively participates in relevant business initiatives and process changes implementation.
•
Ensure compliance of IT Control (Policies & Procedures)
•
Manage cross-functional business partner relationships on project teams to deliver value-adding solutions to the business.
•
Manage the demand shaping into specific projects including prioritization with stakeholders and identification of resources.
•
Manage end-to-end delivery of the projects covered by the IT and Digital Roadmap plan and stakeholder management
•
Provide timely business updates on overall projects using project management dashboard
•
Capture the critical capability gaps of area(s) of ownership and works with the appropriate teams to design solutions to fill those gaps.
•
Own the solution agenda end-to-end from initiation to execution covering relevant business processes including global solutions
•
Seek continuous improvement on system and process based on incident/problem found.
•
Manage implementation of project management practices and framework.
•
Deliver the quality project meeting scope of work identified, finished on time and within budget.
•
Ensure timely SAP support and delivery of changes and services to meet business priorities, with minimal business disruption.
•
Ensure sustainability of super user community.
•
Ensure compliance with IT control standard.
Requirements
What are we looking for and what does it require to be Head of IT PMO ?
•
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Sciences, Project Management, or relevant field
•
At least 10 years of experience in a similar role within the financial services sector
•
Certification in Project Management – PMP/Prince2 Practitioner (mandatory), Agile (highly desirable)
•
Experience in advanced deployment planning and execution
•
Knowledge of latest IT trends
•
Knowledge of IT risk management and controls
•
Knowledge and experience of project costing / project financial management and digital transformations
•
Strong interpersonal, business analysis, and analytical skills, with the ability to effectively understand and address business requirements.
•
Strong project costing and financial management skills, with the ability to manage project budgets effectively.
