💷 Up to £12.71 per hour (plus holiday pay)

Do you enjoy working with children and creating fun, engaging experiences?
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and caring Playworker / Activity Leader to join our After School Club team at Eastbury Farm Primary School.
This is a fantastic opportunity to help create a safe, welcoming, and exciting environment where children can learn, play, and develop through a variety of activities including sports, games, arts & crafts, and structured play.
No two days are the same, and every day is an opportunity to make a positive impact.
🕒 Working Hours
Monday to Friday
After School Club
15:15 – 18:00
13.75 contracted hours per week

As a Playworker, you’ll help deliver engaging activities, encourage participation, and create a fun, inclusive environment where every child feels safe, supported, and valued.
This role is ideal for someone who is energetic, creative, and passionate about working with children.
Responsibilities
🌈 Key Responsibilities
•
Plan and deliver engaging activities including sports, games, arts & crafts, and structured play
•
Create a fun, inclusive, and safe environment for children
•
Support children during arrivals, activities, and collection times
•
Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and company procedures at all times
•
Ensure all sign-in and sign-out procedures are completed correctly
•
Prepare and provide refreshments while maintaining high hygiene standards
•
Assist with setting up and packing away equipment and activity areas
•
Complete accident, incident, and activity records where required
•
Communicate professionally with children, parents, colleagues, and school staff
•
Promote positive behaviour and encourage participation and engagement
Requirements

Previous experience working with children (desirable)

A positive, enthusiastic, and proactive attitude

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Reliable, responsible, and able to follow procedures

The ability to create a fun and safe environment for children
•
Energy, creativity, and a genuine passion for childcare and playwork
