Learning is the cornerstone of our culture and plays an active role in the internship experience — through daily collaboration and interaction with employees at all levels, in workshops and classes, and most significantly by working on projects that matter to the many clients we serve. Our unique AQR Quanta Academy: Summer Term learning series, a structured program, consists of over 40 hours of educational, skill-building and networking events.
As a Portfolio Finance Intern, you’ll work on projects that directly support the firm’s financing, clearing, and cash management activities across global markets. Financing Specialists are responsible for optimizing the financing and clearing arrangements of the firm across the various asset classes traded by AQR. They manage cash and cash-equivalent instruments across portfolios, monitor funding and liquidity conditions, and help maintain AQR’s critical relationships with some of the largest financial institutions on Wall Street.
Through hands-on projects and collaboration with experienced team members, you’ll gain exposure to the financing strategies and operational processes that support AQR’s systematic investment platform while developing a deeper understanding of how AQR utilizes the financial resources of our counterparties.
