Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required at this level include knowledge of simple arithmetic; of the English language; of storage methods and procedures; of inventory methods and techniques and maintaining detailed inventory records; of warehousing practices and techniques; of stock handling; of the operation of warehouse equipment; and of stock identification methods; of the methods and procedures for acquisition of material; of warehousing methods, principles, procedures, and expediting techniques; of inventory methods and procedures; of the use of the various types of mechanical equipment used in warehousing operations; and of supervisory principles and practices.
Ability is required to write simple reports; to follow oral or written instructions; to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; to store and warehouse a variety of supplies; to maintain detailed inventory records; to maintain accurate warehouse records; to follow oral and written instructions; to provide training and supervision to others; to take accurate inventories; and to write reports and keep records.
Skill is required to operate a forklift.
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of four (4) years of experience in stock handling, warehousing and inventory control; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill all job-related travel normally associated with this position.
Agencies may require selected positions to perform moderately heavy lifting or other manual tasks.
Agencies may require positions to lift/carry 70 (seventy) pounds occasionally, 25 (twenty-five) pounds frequently, and to push and pull a maximum force of 40 (forty) pounds. Additionally, agencies may require applicants receiving a conditional offer of employment to submit to a physical examination to verify the ability to meet those physical requirements.
Agencies may determine specific positions in this job family to be safety sensitive as defined by 63 O.S. § 427.8.
