1 Basic understanding of tools, equipment, and safety practices used in construction and maintenance trades.
2 Willingness to learn trade-specific skills and procedures.
3 Strong attention to detail and ability to work under supervision in a team environment.
4 Strong work ethic and ability to learn basic skills in a chosen trade.
5 Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
6 Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in various outdoor and indoor environments for extended periods.
7 Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and around noise, dust, and other typical job site elements.
8 Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations.
9 Ability to read various schematic diagrams and blueprints, troubleshoot systems, and implement resolutions.
10 Ability to use and follow instructions of various types of hand tools, power tools, precision testing, and/or troubleshooting equipment.
11 Skill in communicating both verbally and in writing; ability to clearly express questions, communicate unknowns, and acquire knowledge through practice and theory.
12 Establishing and maintaining strong and effective relationships.
